"I will consume a balanced and nutritious diet"

It's no secret what we should all eat more of...

Picture

Fruits and vegetables are healthy. We all know that by now, yet we still find ourselves struggling to eat them. But why?

Common sentiments include: "I don't have time to prepare them." "They're too expensive." "They go bad too quickly."

These are all valid feelings that make it difficult to eat our fruits and particularly vegetables. That's why we encourage everyone to try frozen vegetables. They are relatively inexpensive, last a long time, and many now come in microwavable bags that steam vegetables on their own!

Do I have to give up the "good stuff?"

No! This is where the idea of a balanced diet comes in.

I want to lose weight. Now what?

We will not pretend to know the perfect solution to losing weight. But there are some things to keep in mind:

1.) Any successful diet must involving consuming less calories than you burn in a day.
2.) Find a weight loss partner -- a patient, a family member, a co-worker. Accountability helps.
3.) Do not be afraid to ask for guidance.
