"I will do my part to promote healthy lifestyle
behaviors within my community."

The fields of clinical medicine and public health are becoming increasingly intertwined as chronic disease becomes more of burden for society. Listed below are some excellent examples of how some physicians have become more active at a community level:

Walk with a Doc

The Walk with a Doc program provides anyone in the community with the opportunity to spend thirty minutes walking with others and health care professionals. In addition to thirty minutes of healthy exercise, attendees are also given the opportunity to ask questions, or have their blood pressure and pulse screened.

They have locations around the country. Check out their website by clicking on the image to the left. You can join one of the chapters or even start your own!
